EƲEWO (Hebrew) are members of the ancient people of Semitic 12 Tribes that migrated from Northeast Africa known as the children of Yasara = Yasaravi.

 

Scholars use the term Hebrew to designate the descendants of the patriarchs of the EƲEWO (Hebrew) Bible (Old Testament)—i.e., Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Paleo-EƲE root name: Yakɔbe renamed to Yasara) [Genesis 33:28])—from that period until their conquest of Kanan (Canaan - Natufian culture ) in the late 2nd millennium BC.

 

Thenceforth these people are referred to as Yasara'al (EƲE Nation) until their return from the Babylonian Exile in the late 6th century BCE, from which time on they became known as "Jews" due to region by Greeks/Romans).

In the Bible, the patriarch Abraham is referred to a single time as the EƲE, which is the singular form of the EƲEWO (Hebrew)​language word for Hebrew (plural ivrim, or ibrim). But the term Hebrew almost always occurs in the Hebrew Bible as a name given to the Yasara'al (EƲE Nation) by other peoples, rather than one used by themselves. 

 

The name EƲEWO (Hebrew) could also be related to the seminomadic Habiru people, who are recorded in Egyptian inscriptions of the 13th and 12th centuries BCE as having settled in Egypt.
